Arranger

Definition:

The financial institution that facilitates the Syndication of a Credit Facility. The Arranger’s duties include assessing the borrower’s credit, the appointment of the lenders’ lead counsel, the Syndication of the loans and the negotiation of the loan documentation. In the context of a bond issue, the Lead Manager plays a similar role.
