Leverage Ratio

Definition:

A measurement of the leverage of a company. The Leverage Ratio compares the company’s overall debt level to its EBITDA.

Credit Agreements often have Maintenance Covenants requiring a borrower or issuer to maintain a certain Leverage Ratio.
