Section 13(a)

Definition:

Section 13(a) of the Exchange Act. Requires that every issuer of a security registered pursuant to Section 12 of the Exchange Act must file with the SEC the requisite information and documents the SEC deems necessary to keep the information in a Registration Statement current and updated. Section 13(a) forms part of the basis for a Public Company’s periodic reporting requirements.
