Trustee

Definition:

In a bond transaction, the entity that acts in a fiduciary capacity on behalf of bondholders and the duties of which are defined in the Indenture. For instance, the Trustee would monitor the administrative aspects of a bond, such as ensuring the borrower complies with the Indenture’s terms.
