Standard Listing

Definition:

Allowed issuers to access the Main Market by meeting minimum standards originally established by EU directives and implemented into UK law and the FCA Handbook rather than the UK ‘super-equivalent’ requirements. Standard Listings covered issuance of shares, Global Depositary Receipts, debt and securitized derivatives. Standard Listings were open to all companies regardless of domicile. Following the entry into force of the UK Listing Rules (UKLR) on July 29, 2024, Standard Listings have been abolished.
